Nice to meet you — I'm Alrick
My name is Alrick and I was born and raised in beautiful Jamaica. I grew up in the countryside until age seven, when my family moved to the town of Lucea, about 20 minutes from Negril.
After graduating high school, I started working in the tourism industry. I held jobs from front desk clerk to waiter to room service — and my favorite position was as a bartender. I even did a work program and worked at resorts in Naples, Florida and Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Why I started Your Jamaican Tour Guide
During my years of working with tourists, one thing kept coming up: what was missing was personalized, high-quality tours of Jamaica's attractions at a reasonable price. Guests complained that prices were too high, that they didn't like traveling with big tour groups, and that they couldn't do the specific things they wanted because they were stuck on someone else's schedule.
So I started YourJamaicanTourGuide.com to fill that void. We offer private Jamaican tour guides to show you all the things to do in Jamaica. We specialize in the areas around Montego Bay and Negril, but we do tours all over the island.
Our goal is to create fully personalized tours that let you see Jamaica the way YOU want to see it. No big tour buses, no waiting for others — these tours are about YOU and your family.
A family business
Your Jamaican Tour Guide is a family business, run by me, my wife, my brother, a cousin and childhood friends. When you book with us, you're traveling with people who grew up together on this island — and who treat your family like our own.
